Meal Prep Plan to Win Your Week!

 

When it comes to sticking with your meal plan every week, it takes a little planning and prep work. Meal prep, short for meal preparation, is the process of planning and preparing your meals ahead of time. You can meal prep one day ahead, or take one day a week to prepare breakfast, lunch and/or dinner for an entire week.

Meal prep also saves you time, money and hassle. By planning ahead, you will be blown away by how easy cooking delicious meals can be. Use our trusty google friend to find downloadable meal prep templates. You can also get a calendar and write in your plan of the week. The main thing is, just have a plan of action for your week.

Find the day your local grocery store stocks their shelves and go the very next morning or on your way home from work. Here is where the planning comes in.

Have your meal plans written out so you have your shopping list with you.

Pick your day to grocery shop. TIP: You can even go later in the evening or early in the morning and zip through the aisles much faster.

Upon arriving home, make sure you wash and put away vegetables and fruits.

Plan your day to cut up and have veggies on hand so you make smarter choices each time you open the refrigerator.

Mason jars make for some awesome containers and you can use them to prepare salads ahead of time for work.

You can also use different size mason jars for different types of foods, such as quick oats oatmeal parfait (sits overnight) or a quick yogurt parfait ready for you to top with blueberries, strawberries and granola when you wake up!
