June has officially arrived — and with it comes fresh energy, longer days, and a beautiful chance to reset.
Whether May left you feeling scattered, inspired, or somewhere in between, the start of a new month is the perfect invitation to pause, reflect, and set your intentions. And for me personally, June is a special time of celebration: not only are we honoring Father’s Day, but my husband and I will be celebrating 22 wonderful years of marriage on June 16. ❤️
These milestones remind me of the power of consistency, care, and intentional nourishment in relationships, in health, and in how we care for our voices.
☀️ A Gentle June Reset: Body, Voice, and Mind
Here’s how I like to ease into summer without overwhelm:
1. Hydrate smarter.
Hydration isn’t just for hot days — it’s foundational for vocal health. Your vocal folds rely on steady internal hydration to stay pliable and strong. Sip water consistently throughout the day (don’t wait until you’re parched), and if you’re speaking or singing a lot, increase your intake. Here’s my favorite hydrate product that I use, and our grandkids love. Just add water! Easy to keep in your purse or pocket for those days when you are out and about in the heat.
2. Choose foods that love you back.
A summer reset doesn’t mean a restrictive diet. It’s about fueling your body with nutrition that supports energy, mood, and recovery. Whole foods — especially fruits, veggies, and clean proteins — reduce inflammation, which helps everything function better, including your voice.
Here’s one of my favorite simple choices:
🌿 Breakfast idea: A smoothie with spinach, frozen berries, almond milk, a scoop of protein, and a pinch of cinnamon.

3. Get outside (wisely).
Sunshine can lift your spirits, boost your Vitamin D levels, and even help with sleep, but pace yourself. Wear a hat, stay hydrated, and avoid the midday sun. A 15-minute walk in the morning or evening does wonders for your mood and circulation.
4. Stretch your voice gently.
If you’re a teacher, speaker, or singer, this is your sign to start slow and warm up. Just like athletes stretch their muscles, your voice needs gentle activation to stay strong and avoid strain.
Try this warm-up:
🎶 Lip trills, humming, and gentle scales in the lower range.

👨👧 Celebrating Dads + Our 22nd Anniversary
June also brings Father’s Day — a moment to pause and honor the men in our lives who’ve encouraged, guided, and supported us. Whether it’s a father, grandfather, husband, or mentor, I invite you to take time this week to reflect on what their presence has meant in your journey.
For us, June 16 is extra special — my husband and I celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary this year! Our journey has been filled with laughter, growth, and grace. Marriage, much like health and vocal care, requires intention, communication, and daily nourishment. 💙
