Let the baking, great aromas, shopping, and family get-togethers begin!
Thanksgiving is always such a beautiful time of year.
My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is being with my family and friends.
This year, I am excited to attend my first Friendsgiving Party! Have you heard of this before? It’s where you invite your friends over, share a meal, and are grateful for the time together. It’s all about giving thanks.
I’ve always loved to bake.
Pumpkin bread is one of my favorites. My mom had the best recipe, and I continued to make it year after year. Another of our favorites is baked corn. There is never a bite left in the casserole dish at the end of Thanksgiving Day. This is what I am taking to our Friendsgiving Party this year!
Another great thing about the holidays is hearing the gorgeous Christmas music.
I love it ringing in all the stores and on the radio! If you know me personally, I play Christmas music year-round. It brings back so many beautiful memories of my mom and dad and all the wonderful times we shared during the holiday season.
My favorites include games we play, family traditions passed down through the years, singing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas morning, and being with our children and grandchildren! I also enjoy gingerbread houses, stockings, hot chocolate, pumpkin bread, a family meal, looking at Christmas lights, directing our Christmas Choir at church, shopping (primarily online), watching Christmas movies, and spending time with my sweet hubby!
What are some ways you enjoy the holidays?
Saying goodbye is never easy. This year and in years past, we had some dear ones depart this Earth for their Heavenly Home. We will always hold them close until we meet again. We are grateful and cherish those memories!
Happy Thanksgiving!
