In writing this week’s newsletter, I wondered what Olympian Athletes eat.

What are some of their Olympian Healthy Eating Tips?

So, what does Simone Biles eat in a day?

She’s not nearly as picky as such athletes as Tom Brady, who famously follows a strict diet. But, her diet is rich with nutrients that she needs to stay healthy.

In an interview with Women’s Health, Biles says that she doesn’t track what she’s eating.

She uses common sense. “I eat what I feel good with and try not to overeat or stuff myself,” she told the publication.

She added that she doesn’t do tracking. For gymnasts, tracking “can lead to health problems and eating issues, so I just eat what I know I can and should.”

“I don’t snack too much because I’m always at the gym, but if I do, I try to snack on some fruit.” Grapes, strawberries, and bananas are her faves, but she’s not opposed to watermelon.”

In a separate interview, she told E! News that her husband, Chicago Bears football player Jonathan Owens, also helps her with her diet. “Jonathan cooks either salmon or chicken,” Biles said.

We eat a lot of chicken, either with broccoli or potatoes or mac and cheese, but always veggies with it, and we kind of wind down for the night.”

As for what Simone Biles eats, for breakfast, Biles tells Women’s Health that she eats “oatmeal, fruit, toast, a boiled egg, or a granola bar, foods which she eats to fuel through the day.”

They add that when she has more time, she’ll cook “protein waffles with chocolate chips or cinnamon rolls.”

That sounds amazing. The “less healthy” meals that she enjoys include pizza or fettuccine Alfredo with chicken.

As for dessert, while Biles doesn’t have a sweet tooth, she tells the publication that she does “bake chocolate chip cookies myself, and whenever I do, I usually make s’mores cookies.”

So, there’s what Simone Biles eats. I think it sounds delicious.
